How sweet is she? She is getting baptized this weekend, so we did a special portrait session without her siblings. Just her. :)

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep - St. Joseph's Hopsital in Orange
I got a call a week ago from a mother in tears. Her daughter was pregnant with identical twin boys and one had not survived the pregnancy. The other was scheduled to be delivered via c-section in about a week. They had contacted Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep and found me as the photographer they wanted for this time in their life. I did this a few months ago when I was first pregnant with C. No one knew I was pregnant, hormones were crazy, but I felt like I had to donate my time to this couple that was dealt such a hard thing in life at the moment. I got a few more calls while I was pregnant, but because I was so big, I recommended I probably not be the photographer so that the couple is not offended of my appearance. I was glad I was able to donate my time to THIS couple. After yesterday, everything seems to stand still. I sit back and reflect on what is important in life. I am so grateful for my family. Sometimes I think life rushes by so quickly, I get into a routine, and I forget to stop and absorb everything I have been blessed with. I know this is a hard time for the H family - and that they will never move on - but hopefully with time they will be able to move forward.
The sweet couple before going into surgery to meet their two sons.
Last - I know not everyone is religious, but my friend posted this song on her blog because she knows a 7 month old that just passed -and they sang it at his funeral.
I am a Child of God and he has sent me here.
Has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear.
Lead me guide me, walk beside me, help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do to live with him someday.
I am Child of God and he has called me home.
My earthly journey’s through but still, I do not walk alone.
He leads me, guides me, walks beside me, helps me find the way.
He welcomed me with opens arms. I live with Him Today.
I am a Child of God and I have gone ahead.
My earthly life was brief but oh, such peace and love you gave.
You loved me, held me, stood beside me and though I cannot stay
You gave me much to help me and I live with Him today.
I am a Child of God and I will wait for you.
Celestial glory shall be ours, if you can but endure.
I’ll lead you, guide you, walk beside you, help you find the way.
I’ll welcome you with open arms one bright celestial day.

Tivoli Too! Laguna Beach, CA wedding photography
Orange County Wedding Photography
4 weeks after having C - this was the second wedding I shot. The couple is great and very relaxed. They had Allan from APC Entertainment for their DJ and Don Johnson as their officiant. It was a great team! We absolutely LOVE working at Tivoli Terrace and Tivoli Too! The staff there is awesome and the couples seem to be very happy about their big day when they get married there. :) All in all - a great Friday wedding! Thanks K & R for a wonderful night.
Two weddings in a row where the bride has a garter for her hubby's team. Love it!
I like the dress hanging in the background
Stunning
I like Brian's angle on this shot
How cute is this? Love candids!
Right before they walked down the aisle

Orange County Engagement Photography - Mission San Juan Capistrano
Orange County Wedding Photographer
When I was hospitalized in January for 3 weeks - we had an engagement session with this great couple. Instead of rescheduling, they decided to go ahead and have Brian do it for them. Our friend Michael from Mae Photography came out and shot with him. Thank you so much! We owe you one! :) They did the engagement session at one of my favorite spots - Mission San Juan Capistrano. I only wish I could have been there! (Next up on the blog is their wedding)

Engagement Photography at Balboa Beach, Newport Beach, CA
Orange County Engagement Photography
This couple was a BLAST! We walked all around Balboa Peninsula and wish we had more time than the sun let us. Note to self - if we are going to walk around A LOT by the arcade - I need to plan for more than an hour. This couple have the coolest personalities - and like to joke around a lot. The bride pulled a gazillion faces - it was hilarious. We can't wait for their wedding in August!
I laughed hard when they "kissed" with their new lips

Orange County Wedding Photography in Laguna Beach at Tivoli Too
Orange County Wedding Photography
My first wedding back from having a c-section was three weeks after C was born. Crazy huh? Drugs do wonders when you have an incision healing and you are crouching down to get the perfect shot. :) I was glad it was at Tivoli Too! since we do a lot of weddings there - I knew the schedule by heart. We LOVE doing weddings at Tivoli.
This couple was TOO cute! They were HUGE Yankee fans and had a ton of details for their wedding. Everything from cuff links made from the actual bleacher seats and her garter with the team colors and logo to a bat for guests to sign as they came in.
I love that the groom has worn this "ring" on his finger since he knew he was marrying his wife. Kind of like an engagement ring but in reverse. Sentimental
The real rings
The bride looking stunning
After the bride walked down the aisle, the groom whipped out his NY Yankee hat and took a photo of themselves at the altar. It was hilarious. I guess he is constantly taking photos - which I witnessed the entire evening. He may have taken more photos than us! (just kidding). Too cute.
Rockin the real ring

Playoff Time!
It's play off time for the Anaheim Ducks! We are so excited because we decided not to buy the playoff seats (we had regular season seats) - so my sister and her husband are taking us with them! The Ducks have won the first two games away, but now it's their first playoff game at "home." Go Ducks!
We are playing the San Jose Sharks (for those that may not understand the photo). :)
