While we were opening presents for Father's Day - my sister Julieanne brought out her gift for our dad. We have had a sugar cookie recipe in our family for years (since I can remember) that is delicious! She has taken it to a whole new level. She made a cookie bouquet for my mom on mother's day - and now this:
I keep telling her that she should sell them on etsy because I think people would buy them. What do you guys think? Would you buy them? If so - what do you think they would be worth?
I tried making some cake pops from Bakerella - learned a few things along the way. It's a trial run for a baby shower in a couple weeks. I will post how the real ones turn out - but they tasted super sweet!
Last - Tyler found this Dumbo costume and walked around all day in it. He was in heaven and VERY upset when I took him out of it and would not let him take it home.

Happy Father's Day
One day late -but none the less - Happy Father's Day to my loving husband and my own father! My dad is seriously the most awesome example of an amazing, charitable, giving, unselfish, creative, knowledgeable man. I hope my boys get some of his traits. :) As for my husband Brian - he is an awesome father to my three boys. He takes the older two fishing and to the park constantly. He gives them baths at night while I feed Cody and tells them creative make up stories (which they love). When they have bad dreams he is always there to say prayers with them to help them feel safe. He is not only a fun and loving father - but the spiritual leader of our home, which I am so grateful for. I love this man to pieces!
I can't believe I actually got one of all of them looking at the camera. They are HORRIBLE with taking photos - so I try not to take too many because it frustrates me to no end (being the mother and the photographer is tricky). This picture makes me melt and sums up everything to me. We brought them downstairs while playing with their cousins for a "quick photo." Tyler has one sock on and one sock off - because "it has yuckies on it." Brian loves his dad like no other - and I love how he is leaning in to him giving him a hug. Cody rocks! Although he is not smiling - he seriously is the best baby! (Thank goodness). Love that little guy!

Orange County Newborn Photographer - Newport Beach
Newport Beach Newborn Photography
I love when couples come back after a few years! I did this little guys parents wedding at the Turnip Rose 5 days before I had my second son. They got pregnant pretty quickly and I got to photograph their first son...and now their second son is here! He is a doll! I am really enjoying working with newborns and little ones. Maybe because my third is so good - I have a big love for newborns right now....who knows? :)
Here is the announcement we made from her two favorite shots:

This couple was so sweet and laid back. Brian and I had a great time at their wedding and loved the details! :) Here are some pix from their big day at Tivoli Terrace
Getting Ready
I thought this was cool - very neat looking chest.....
and inside a bottle of wine for them to open at their 25th anniversary or when things start to get a little rocky. They put letters in the box to each other. Instead of doing a unity candle or sand during the ceremony, they nailed the box closed (along with their maid of honor and best man). Very cool and different idea (too bad I don't drink - otherwise I would have loved to do this!)
The groomsman always have something else in mind other than photos. :)
Love the shoes!
During the ceremony at Tivoli Terrace. I love when they do flowers on the walkway.
I have been to A LOT of weddings in the last seven years. I can count on one hand the times I actually had tears. My wedding, my friend Melissa's, and this one. For some reason - during the father daughter dance I got a couple tears in my eyes. It was SO obvious how much love they had for each other. Very touching.

Newport Beach Children Photography
Newport Beach Orange County Children Photography
I loved taking photos of these two brothers! We found a barn by our house and loved the look it gave! I think I might have to take my boys there now (if I actually ever took photos of my boys - poor guys).

introducing... The CRAZY BOOTH!
The Crazy Booth is a brand new photo option for your next event. We set up a plain white backdrop and photograph whatever your guests want during the reception. Here are some reasons why EVERY wedding needs our Crazy Booth:
1. It's fun for everyone.
2. It gives the bride and groom tons of hilarious pictures of their friends and family.
3. There is no limit- take as many as you want.
4. All the photos are available for online viewing and purchasing for all of your guests.
5. It's a lot less expensive than a photo booth, with much higher quality photos!
6. You can fit more people into the shot
7. you have Jennifer thinking of "crazy" stuff for your guests to do if they get stumped.
Here are some Crazy Booth photos from the wedding we did in Long Beach last week. (silly props are optional)
