Turnip Rose and Celebrations Wedding Photographer
One of our last weddings of 2009....
From the moment I met "S", I knew I liked her! She was emailing me at odd hours (like 3:20 a.m.) and we seemed to just click. Later I found out she was a nurse (hence the odd hours she was awake). Why I was awake often at 3:20 - that's a whole other story involving three little guys in one house. The wedding was beautiful. It was held at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa (one of our favorite venues) and the reception was at Celebrations (also part of Turnip Rose - but a different reception venue on the same site). They moved back east for their "honeymoon" but hopefully we will see them again soon! Also - thanks "R" for serving for our country! We REALLY appreciate all you do for us and our families.
Here is a slide show of our favorites from the big day:

Santa Barbara wedding photography - Firestone Vineyards Santa Ynez Valley
Firestone Vineyard
We had such a great time at this wedding at the Firestone Vineyard! I am not sure if I have seen a happier bride. From the moment she walked into the dressing room - until she left their limo that evening - she was enjoying their day as much as she could.
The vendors were amazing as well as the venue. Although it's a little bit of a drive for us - we LOVE doing weddings here.
Such a sweet, sincere groom.
They rented a trolley to take guests to and from the ceremony site on the vineyard. The Bride and bridesmaids took the last ride with myself and the bagpiper on board. It let us off a little bit earlier and the bagpiper played infront of the trolley as it drove up to the site. Pretty cool.
The vineyards were just beautiful - no grapes - but lots of greenery.
The dinner was in the barrel room. It had a really neat ambiance. :)
Practicing their first dance in the cellar room
A sweet surprise from the groom - a limo ride

Orange County Engagement Photography Session - Balboa Beach, CA
I am proud of myself on this one (this is Brian) Not only did I shoot it for a good friend of mine, I also edited, lightroomed, photo-shopped, downloaded, and managed to get through the whole process without ANY help from Jennifer. (well, she did let me take her Mark II to the beach but that's it!) My photographer buddy Mike came along too but I'm sure he had to have his wife do the hard stuff for him, right Mae??

LDS Temple Wedding Photography in Newport Beach, CA
Newport Beach Wedding Photography
We seriously had the hardest time narrowing down the photos from this wedding. It was a long day with multiple locations and so many of the shots were keepers! I grew up with the bride and her family so this wedding hardly felt like work. Her dad actually delivered my babies. One of the sweetest families out there! Seriously. It's so much fun to shoot a wedding where you know half of the guests! Here is a very long post of a really fun day.
Coming out of the Temple - can you tell how happy they are? :)
Love this one!
My favorite shot of the entire day. :) Love the editing Brian did on it too.
This one makes me dizzy!
Since the Newport Temple doesn't really have shade, we took the family/wedding party photos at another location.
C'mon, there is room for a few more!!
After the formals- everyone headed over to the brides home for the reception.
The couple knew right away that they needed the crazy booth- they dedicated a room just for this and had white drapes put up. It worked perfectly. :)
J & E - we had such a great time at your wedding. You two are awesome and your family rocks! ;)
