Portrait Photography in Orange County, CA

This sweet bride was married 7 months ago and hated her photos (she got married in ID). I met her because she was doing swim lessons for my two oldest boys. We got to talking and she mentioned how she would love to get some of her alone and with her husband that they actually liked. She had her dress shipped down and we did a quick session. Luckily her sis-in-law used to do flowers so she did a mini bouquet that morning. (Looks great Carly!).

We love shooting at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. So many locations to choose from but the best part is that it's lots of fun for the kids (which means great shots for us). The parents of these little guys are long time friends of ours. Their mom is actually doing some design work for the studio and we are so excited to be working with her.

Orange County Fair 2009

The OC Fair has come and gone once again. Every year, we meet up with the my sisters and their kids and do the fair. Even before we had kids we did this trip... What were we thinking!?

This family was having a reunion this summer from a bunch of different states. I love seeing kids together with their cousins and extended family. :) We had never shot at this beach - but liked it a lot.

Best friends baby shower!

My dear friend since I was born was in town for a baby shower. My friend Cara and her sister Joanna and I all threw the shower. It was so nice to see her and I am so excited for her little one to arrive (any day now).
We had everyone bring their favorite childhood book. I brought Polar Express. Don't you love that book? Giving tree is awesome too.



I showed Cara how to make pop cakes from Bakerella. Didn't she do a great job?



I made the diaper cakes. Makes the gift of diapers much more fun.



I really wanted to eat these - too bad it had Kiwi. :( (I'm allergic to kiwi)

This couple is awesome! We had so much fun at their engagement session so we knew their wedding day would be a blast. We like them SO much - they actually watch our kids now and then - and our kids love them! They got married at the LDS Newport Beach Temple in August. The groom threw in his own touch with adding orange socks to the men's attire...which I had to love! The bride looked stunning. It was definitely a long day being an LDS wedding - but very memorable.
