"Playing at the park" Engagement Photography Session in Costa Mesa, CA

Orange County Engagement Photography

This couple wanted their engagement photos taken at the park with swings. When we met up there were a gazillion kids at the park (go figure on a Saturday) - so we took a few photos then headed to a more deserted park. Such a cute idea - I may have to steal it for another couple. :) We are SO excited for their wedding! :)

Engagement Photography Session in Naples (Long Beach, CA)

This couple was a referral from Eileen & Chad (a past couple that we were able to do the wedding coverage for on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA). The two girls work together and we couldn't be more thrilled to do their upcoming wedding this October at the Firestone Vineyard. They wanted to shoot their engagement at the Naples Canals in Long Beach. They love to walk in this area and dream of someday owning a home here. I loved how they chose a location that was so personal to them. They were so relaxed and even had a glass of wine while walking around (thanks to a sweet neighbor that saw what we were doing). It was a great night and we are looking forward to their big day!

Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa, CA wedding photography

Orange County Wedding Photographer

This couple was such a treat to work with! They (and their family and friends) were so sweet! After the wedding, I realized we actually know a lot of the same people from growing up in Orange County. :)
We absolutely LOVE doing weddings at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa. It has awesome architecture and the people that work their are so professional. Here are some of our favorites from the big day!

This crazy booth was CRAZY! We had to fix the backdrop from people backing up into it 4 times. What did Brian and I learn? If it's an open bar all night - don't use a backdrop - just find a good wall for the "backdrop." :)

You thought I was small?

I have lots to blog from recent weddings/events/portraits/newborns, etc....but before I get those up - a lot of people have been commenting how "small" I was while pregnant with Cody. Okay - I know I was on bedrest from January til March so many didn't see me in my last weeks. This was taken a week before I had him. I don't know about you - but to me, I am looking pretty "large and in charge." What do you think? I am scared what I would look like if I had a fourth. :)
