MARCH OF DIMES - March for Babies

This weekend was a great weekend. I was asked to photograph the March of Dimes ~ March for Babies walk at Fashion Island. It was such a cool experience. I just had to take candids - so photography wise - it wasn't difficult - which let me take it all in. It was neat to see so many people walking for a great cause. So many babies are born premies and many don't survive. A ton of the babies, toddlers and kids were born premature - and are healthy and happy now. Check out their site if you want more info:

Such a hot day - they had yummy snow cones, cotton candy, hot dogs, burgers, etc - the works!

....ROBOT....
So - it started with a space helmet Brian and I picked up for the boys when we were in FL and grew from there. My boys now take these soft boxes, put them on their head and walk around with stiff legs and arms (kind of a wabble) and say ROOOO-BOT over and over again.

Flower Fields engagement photography session - Carlsbad, CA

Flower Field Time!

We had a couple want to go to the flower fields for their Engagement Session - which is always fun. (The Flower Fields are only open a couple months out of the year - so not everyone can go - which makes it very different). They were good sports about the whole thing. :) We are REALLY excited for their wedding next month.

The Ducks team had a good run this year. I was so sad that they were taken out by Dallas on Sunday - but all in all - it was a fun season. I loved the game we went to last week! We got to bring a small camera in and got a few shots for the warm up. I can't wait until next year!

Bri and Celina brought their adorable kids in for a shoot right before the studio went under construction. Here are some of my favorites. Outside photos were taken in our studio garden!

Redlands LDS Temple wedding photography - Redlands, CA

Here is another couple that I haven't posted yet - so fun! Their personalities made the whole day. They got married at the LDS Temple in Redlands, then we went to a Garden for some photos after their ceremony. They were so sweet -

Studio remodel update

We are making slow and steady progress on the studio. I am excited to get this thing finished and have a party! :)

***PLEASE excuse the quality of the photos - they were taken with my iphone. Not the best - but I always have it with me.

They are making beams across because there were certain beams we couldn't remove - so they are going to put crown mould on the inside of each box

This wall will be where I project the images for proofing. I am going today to get the couch that everyone will be sitting on for the opposite wall. :)


More progress on the ceiling as of yesterday:


This is one of four columns that will be on the walls. Two will be on either side of the projection screen and then two will be on the opposite wall (kind of where the shooting area will be).


I got the cabinets on Monday - so once they paint (supposedly next week), and we get the wood floor in (still haven't decided for sure on that) - they will put the cabinets up.

I love engagement sessions - almost as much as weddings! It is so fun to walk around with a couple who is in love. :) Here are some shots we did for a couple getting married in a few months.
